Of Planet Earth was founded in 2022 by designer Rose Canham, shortly after graduating from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Fashion Design and Knitwear.

The name came from Rose’s graduate collection, which explored the idea of communicating with aliens and life forms on other planets. She imagined how you might introduce yourself to someone from another world,  and “Of Planet Earth” became both a greeting and a grounding statement.

That spirit of curiosity, imagination, and connection continues to shape everything we make.

All pieces are developed in-house, with an obsessive focus on detail, construction, and fit. Patterns are often refined over many months, sometimes more than a year to achieve a shape that flatters the body in subtle, unexpected ways.

Even the metal details, like buttons, are first sculpted by Rose in clay before being cast in metal to add another layer of tactile craftsmanship to each garment.

Our aim is simple: to create well-made, flattering clothing that feels slightly unusual but always wearable.

All woven and jersey pieces are produced either in-house or at a high-end, family-run factory in London. Most of our fabrics are sourced from deadstock, giving new purpose to high-quality materials that already exist.

At its heart, Of Planet Earth is a label rooted in slow design, care, and individuality  for those who like their clothes with a little story, and a lot of soul.
